CARRICK FLOCK HAVE A GRAND DAY OUT AT ILE DE FRANCE SALE
Topping the prices at this year’s Ile de France Show & Sale held in Dungannon Farmers Mart was the Show Champion from Edward Adamson’s Carrick Flock at 900 gns. Club Chairman Michael McConville placed the animals at this year’s show and found his champion in the Ram Lamb Class. This lamb is no stranger to red rosettes having been placed 1st at The RUAS in May. His sire Carrick High Hopes was Breed Champion at Antrim Show 2007 and sold to Mr Maurice Trumper’s Beiliau Flock in Abergavenny, Wales where he has bred extremely well. This lamb’s twin sister was 1st prize ewe lamb at this year’s Antrim Show. His dam is by Carrick Dynasty, a former Ile de France Sire Reference Sire and Reserve Breed Champion at Armagh Show as a ram lamb in 2004.Two ewe lambs sired by Dynasty were placed 1st & 2nd in the ewe lamb class and fetched 430 & 260 gns in the sale.The Reserve Champion was a shearling from David Mulligan’s Glenhoy Flock was from semen off LS 03151, the top Ile de France ram in FranceClub Chairman would like to thank all those who helped make the Sale a success, especially Dungannon Farmers Mart and sponsors John Thompson & Son Ltd and Pfizer Animal Health Ltd
